Phillipians 2:6,7 says that He was equal to God not thinking that was something to be grasped but instead He was made a servant even to death and so should we. In the cross the Death of Christ He was God in our place even at the Empty Tomb as at our Atonement on the Cross. Christ is Risen! He's Risen indeed! God's move to us in Revival is His Hand and will be that which will lead us to abandonment from fear and worry to abundant pardon. He removes our sin from us as far as the east is from the west. That's in Psalm 103:12. For we need our sins forgiven and most definitely if we haven't had the pleasure nor delight yet in this life God will answer prayer prayed for that in Jesus's Name, our New Covenant Savior, Jesus, Who we realize Died to save us as for Whom "we who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us: which we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and entering into that which is within the veil;" "and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own Eternal blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption for us. ..How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" Hebrews 6:18b,19;9:17,18; 2Cor. 3.In other words our Salvation is complete. We can by His grace see our sins upon that Cross as the worship song goes by, but oh what it took to do that!
Pastor Rich says in his recent sermon, "Scripture in Galatians 3:1 asks, "Who broke in upon you to bewitch you?" "Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law or by the hearing of faith?" It's a rhetorical question but the plain obvious answer is we receive by the hearing of faith. Faith has to put God, the Source, as its Object. Its not faith in faith in other words. Faith in God through Christ is very real. Christ in His Person and Work is the waters at the oasis of our wilderness. The Person and Work of Christ is the essence of the real reality that would fill us with spiritually heightened awareness to live properly by faith even good satisfaction in Christ only and starve us for every good thing supposedly this world has to offer us opposed to His goodness presuming to satisfy us which it doesn't but instead we're hating sin and sinning and hoping for Heaven Eternal on the other hand. As an Eternal itch for God which gets us nearer to the Cross in experiencing Salvation we live in Him. We need God alone and only a greater hunger more for desiring Him. Christ's Person and Work will fuel real awareness at our reception of that hunger. His Person and Work within is His Holy will for us to know and confidently fuels His Desire and passions that are good and godly in motivation as we are getting to know Him in sanctification. To accept Christ spend quality time with Him as the focal point of all life and receive our Salvation, quickly determine you are in the ballpark of the right idea of Who He is and in the right ballpark generally as well. Pray a side holster of a prayer something like this: Dear Abba Daddy, even God I confess I'm a sinner and being completely honest with You and I repent and want to be exposed to Your Searchlight in Your Word to wash me. And I'm sorry for my sins and failing your Law. Confessing I'm a chiefest of sinners I want to turn from them (my sins) and repent totally. I want to turn one hundred eighty degrees from those sins and receive Christ and love and serve You! I believe Jesus Died, that His victory Ultimately was very great on the cross and resurrection and makes me a risen person inside too, crucified according to Gal. 2:20 and He's the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6.) For being our substitute on the cross I'm thankful, grateful, and content in Thee. Humbly I come to You God and accept Your Son Jesus (God's Only Begotten of God meaning Firstfruits of Resurrection,) yea Jesus my Savior and Lord over sin, death, Hell, and grave. For it's by grace alone I'm saved to good works to perform foreordained for me before the world began. To do the greater works Christ said we would do to do also we will do. In Jesus Name, Amen. Now we should follow Him. Moment by moment deny yourself, lose your life in this world, take up your cross, and follow Him. It's a daily moment by moment surrender.
It's an inner and outer glorious life. It's a wonderful adventurous reality in and of life too. Would to God revival come and many be saved. Character within is created by God immediately at Salvation given by Him in and you're ushered into God's Kingdom of His Son translated by His love for you, you increasing in passions for godly things. Further God ignites these passions with His sparks. Cultivating inner love for God by His placing His Holy Spirit in you we dwell with God's Presence intimately while we become like Him transforming from faith to faith glory to glory healing to healing. The Holy Spirit is central to a right foundation in Christ, and being made in Christ's image because He's creating desire for Jesus's lifestyle inside as in Hilarious Giving to God first, not just money also, but a Holy godly attitude in lifestyle, and passions for doing the right thing, attitudes, and Lordship over our check books, etc., we learn about the right fear or reverance of Him in His Word. God gives us all one heart one mind (homotheumaden in Greek) to unify us and puts His Holy Spirit IN us. To reverence Him is to know His honor and/or judgment or punishment for sin. We serve with reverent fear and respect and rejoice with trembling. We work out our salvation with fear and trembling.
Christ left us and Ascended On High to the Throne above and when He did He sent us the Holy Spirit. The Spirit's given for convincing, conviction, and judgment of sin for equipping for service by His five fold ministry and indwelling of Him in us that we might be where He is and be in His fire for He's the Fire and know that He is Holy (Quidosh in Hebrew) and be available for His use. He's our sanctuary as well. The Holy Spirit points to Christ. He's got our hand in His and He keeps us. "Modern day idols have to be taken out like worry and fear," Pastor Rich says Ez. 11:10-12,13,19-21; 36:25-28. He doesn't change our personality but He does change our individuality some. He's giving passion from Him to do right until we reflect Jesus Christ in us being changed outwardly and inwardly even transformed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of our Lord to be like His image 2 Cor. 3:18. He gives to us the Holy Spirit even taking away the veil of deception completely away within us giving a soft heart. We're looking at His example with clarity even willing then momentarily and always to do His will. You can have a lot of externals without having God within so be sure you have the right Hermaneutic real yielded sparked devotion to Him from His Word specially being Born Again. Being Born Again you can see and tell what the Kingdom of God should be by the Holy Spirit. It's righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. It's the rule and reign of the Holy Spirit and Jesus in the life of the believer. In the Word of God the majority of Jesus's parables declare and show the highlighted greatness of the Kingdom of God and its importance. A spark of His love for us in us will spark a mission and passion as we learn each parables main teaching. We will know how to be ready for Christ's return performing and have new ability to see as He sees and loves. Love has to be compassion connected back to Jesus Christ and being grateful in Him and He giving contentment. "God cannot be giving us Power if we do not want a Holy Character as well," my Pastor Rich Catapano says. "He can take that love of power right out of us and give us desire to be humble," He adds. Humility and being preferring other believers others-centered is always good for a right cause. Humility is being no less nor more than who God created you to be. The humble are eventually exalted and the proud are humbled. But agape love expressed humbly can give us the right amount of power in humility to lovingly fascilitate revival should God send it. Revival is written about in Campus Aflame, a great book to read. A Sovereign move God performs it is. "It's also like whipping each other forward in a roller derby when it occurs which would win a roller derby contest as a team of people and horses would win pulling in the grape harvest together. We would gather the grape of the harvest as reaching what's before us to the high calling of God and placing the grape in the basket of the Christian in front of us each by placing it next to us, cutting off the right from our right side and placing harvest grapes with the left hand in our brother's basket," my Pastor says. It's a picture of unity in diversity in bringing in the crop. Amen.
